1. Water activities carry inherent risk
Boating, jet skiing, diving, snorkelling, water sports and swimming involve risks that cannot be fully eliminated, including sudden weather changes, wave impact, collision, mechanical failure, marine life, sunstroke, dehydration, slips, drowning, serious injury or death. By booking you acknowledge and voluntarily accept these risks for yourself and any guest in your party.
2. Guest responsibilities
- Attend the safety briefing and follow the captain, instructor or host at all times.
- Wear the provided life jacket whenever instructed; child-sized jackets must be requested when booking.
- Disclose medical conditions, pregnancy, non-swimming status, heart or back conditions before departure.
- No alcohol or drugs before or during any activity.
- Minors must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times; the booking adult accepts responsibility for them.
- Jet ski operation may require a licence and a minimum age set by the provider and local authority.
3. The provider operates the experience
SaltWater is a booking platform. Vessels, equipment, crew, supervision, licensing and insurance are the provider's responsibility. SaltWater does not operate craft, employ captains, or supervise activities, and does not warrant the seaworthiness of any vessel or the competence of any crew.
4. Right to refuse or stop a trip
A captain, host or authority may refuse boarding or end an activity for safety reasons — including weather, intoxication, unsafe behaviour, exceeding capacity, or refusal to wear safety equipment. Refusals for unsafe guest behaviour are not refundable.
5. Insurance and medical costs
Provider liability insurance may not cover personal injury, personal belongings, or evacuation and treatment costs. We recommend personal travel and medical insurance. Insurance requirements for providers are set out in the Provider Terms: Minimum Insurance Coverage.
6. Liability allocation
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SaltWater disclaims liability for injury, loss or damage occurring during an experience delivered by a provider. This does not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable law. Lawyer review: enforceability of waiver and whether a signed on-site waiver is required per country.
7. Emergencies
In an emergency contact local emergency services first, then notify the provider and our support team at Emergency Support Contact. Report any incident to us within Incident Reporting Window — e.g. 48 hours.
