1. Becoming a provider
By listing on SaltWater you agree to these Provider Terms in addition to the Terms of Service. You act as an independent operator, not an employee or agent of Company Name.
2. Licences, insurance and compliance
- You must hold every licence, permit and marine registration required in the country and marina where you operate.
- Captains and instructors must be certified for the craft and activity they operate.
- Valid third-party and passenger liability insurance must be in force for every booking: Minimum Insurance Coverage.
- Safety equipment (life jackets in all sizes including child sizes, extinguisher, first-aid kit, VHF or phone, flares as applicable) must be present and serviceable.
- You must upload current documents on request and keep them updated in your dashboard.
3. Listing accuracy
- Photos must show the actual vessel, property or activity — no stock or borrowed imagery.
- Capacity, engine, length, amenities, inclusions and meeting point must be accurate.
- Availability calendars must reflect reality; double-booking is a serious breach.
- All mandatory fees must be in the listed price. Charging undisclosed extras on site is prohibited.
4. Commission and payouts
- Platform commission: Commission Rate of the booking value, deducted before payout.
- Payout schedule: Payout Schedule — e.g. weekly, T+2 after trip.
- Payout method and minimum: Payout Method / Minimum Threshold.
- Taxes, VAT registration and invoicing obligations on your earnings are yours: Provider Tax / VAT Obligations.
- We may withhold a payout while a guest dispute, chargeback or safety investigation is open.
5. Cancellations by providers
Cancelling a confirmed booking for reasons other than weather or guest safety breaches triggers a full guest refund and may lead to reduced ranking, a penalty of Provider Cancellation Penalty, or suspension for repeated cases.
6. Guest data and off-platform contact
Guest contact details are shared only to deliver a confirmed booking. You may not use them for marketing, transfer them to third parties, or steer guests to book or pay outside SaltWater.
7. Reviews and ratings
Manipulating reviews — incentivised ratings, fake bookings, or pressuring guests — results in removal of the affected reviews and possible account closure.
8. Suspension and termination
We may delist a listing or suspend an account immediately where there is a credible safety, licensing, fraud or legal concern. You may stop listing at any time, but must honour bookings already confirmed or refund them in full.
9. Indemnity
You indemnify Company Name against claims arising from your operations, equipment, crew, licensing failures or breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law. Lawyer review: indemnity scope.
